The number 7 in the Bible is connected to Yahuwah, perfection and completion. This number is exactly 7, not approximately 7. The luni-solar Sabbath is only relative, an approximate 7. It always changes, where Yahuwah does not change. Can you explain?
Answer: It is true that the number “7” is Yahuwah’s symbol of perfection and completion. This is a very important point you bring up, but it is only perceptual and based on one’s own paradigm – that the Gregorian calendar is the “standard” by which to compare it. However, the luni-solar Sabbath is actually very consistent as it is beaconed by the moon, and in reality the opposite is true. It is the Roman Gregorian calendar with its unbroken chain of successive weeks that rotate through Yahuwah’s luni-solar calendation according to Scripture. Yahuwah’s time system is fixed to both the sun and moon, and does not rotate as a strictly “lunar” calendar would do. For example Islam utilizes the “lunar” calendar for locating Ramadan. Because it is only connected to the lunar cycles which are 11 days short of a solar year, it rotates throughout the year. Year 1 it can be in summer, year 16 it will be in winter. A full cycle of 32 years will bring Ramadan back to summer.
In contrast Yahuwah’s time system is beaconed by the orchestrated dual-action of both sun and moon. See example below.
- There are seven days in each luni-solar week.
- There are 29 or 30 days in each lunation as the moon directs.
- There are 177 days in half of a regular year, and 354 days in a full regular year.
- An intercalary 13th month occurs every 2-3 years for a total of 7 times in a 19 year period. As a result, every 19 solar years the luni-solar calendar is brought back to perfect harmony with it, assuring that Passover will never float throughout the seasons as Ramadan does today.
- There are 235 lunations (lunar months) in a 19 year solar year.
- There are 365.25 days in each solar year.
- A regular luni-solar year has 354.3 days.
- An embolismic 13 month year has 384.3 days.
- There are 6939 days in 19 solar years.
- There are 6938.2 days in 19 luni-solar years, which is less than a day short.
In addition, all days are not created equal according to Scripture:
Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of Yahuwah your Eloah. Exodus 20:9-10
Thus says the Sovereign Yahuwah: “The gateway of the inner court that faces toward the east shall be shut the six working days; but on the Sabbath it shall be opened, and on the day of the New Moon it shall be opened. Ezekiel 46:1
Between these two texts are found the details of “days” for the Creator’s calendar. It states that on Sabbaths and New Moons the gateway is opened and that it is closed on the six working days of each week. In this manner the text clarifies that there are three specific kinds of days that never overlap. So this Bible text states that New Moons can never be Sabbaths and neither can they ever be work days. Can you find a Gregorian year that has not placed New Moons on seventh-day Sabbaths or on week days?
